For those of you who don’t know what the YouTube Blackout was, it was a protest against some of the new policies that were going to implemented. You can read about the new policies in one of my previous posts.

As for the update, many say the YouTube Blackout was a complete failure. In my opinion, I agree that it failed. Due to the fact that YouTube has one of the biggest communities on the internet, a couple of people boycotting YouTube for a couple days really would not hurt their business traffic.

Many of the people that go on YouTube daily didn’t even know about the YouTube Blackout. As far as I’m concerned, it did not work and was not very well organized.
